Even though you won't be able to see the Premium topo pictures without a subscription, you can still tick the routes.

You can either look for the route name in the search or find it from the exact topo.

Once at the topos, you won't see the topo image but you're still able to tick the route and leave your comments. This works both in the browser and app.
